    DDIY - Legit Handyman Services ?

    Are there any legit Handyman Services or sites any one could recommend ?

    Joiners and workmen usually charge a fortune round here.

    Rated people is the same idea. Though even with these services and using people recommended by randoms on the internet, I wouldn't recommend any of the people we had in to do small jobs.

    Time to buy some boxes of biscuits and get to know your neighbours!

    Forget all those rated people type websites as they have often have to pay a fee to contact you, the only time I did it we had some right cowboy outfits basically harassing us by phone for the job, another did the quote and I nearly choked on my cuppa at the price so he then offered a 50% discount. I didn't let him finish his drink before chucking him out. Same applies to companies sending a sales person round, you are paying for another person's wages rather than the local builder who shows up at night after doing his days work due to him being so busy, That is where my money would go. (and has)
