Beds for children - advice needed

My two 4 year old girls need bigger beds. Looking around ye olde inter-of-web there are lots of choices. I think we are going for midsleepers with a chest of drawers, bookcase and pull out desk underneath. However it is near impossible to see any in a shop. Only one shop in my area (bensons 4 beds) has a single cheap option, their other choices are all, "internet exclusives". How helpful....
Does anyone know of any shops that have children's beds on display or have first hand experience of a good quality, solid childs midsleeper bed?

Back in the day, when they were small, we went to a Dreams showroom.

Thank you all for your comments. Checked Ikea, and their range is really rather limited. No mid-sleepers at all.

Basically we are looking for something like:

But want to get unbiased reviews or see it in the flesh before splashing out £650+.
Checked Dreams but their only likely offering is £500 for one! And the reviews arent great.

My son has a Stompa Rondo midsleeper. Had it for years and it still looks like new, it's very solidly built. It's not cheap, but I can't see us replacing it for a long time yet. Only drawback is that it uses a 90cm x 200cm mattress, whereas the standard UK size is 90cm x 190cm, but his favourite cushion slotted in at the head end soon solved that.

Ikea sell euro size mattresses iirc as my Daughters bed has one.

Next Home has a fair range, if you have a store local to you:
