    Mainly my missus work (oiling and smoothing), with oversight by moih on all things drilling as my DeWalt was in peril

    Danish oil doesn't smell too bad, steer clear of the linseed oil

    With any type of oil you will get a smell, cannot say ive come across a pleasant smelling oil, your best bet would be a wax of some kind
