Outdoor Paint
HI folks,
Outside around my bay windows etc needs repainted white. It actually looks okay but I decided I would do it this summer so...
What outdoor white paint do you guys recommend that will stand the test of time and weather?
I also need to paint my roof fascia, but that's too high up for me. So will need to get someone in to do that at some point and clear the gutters while they're at it. Any idea of approx cost for a detached house?
Thanks :)

Re: Outdoor Paint
Just a bump for any recommendations on outdoor white paint to withstand the elements.

Re: Outdoor Paint
Preperation is the key.
Clean the area to be painted, repair any defects then prime any new wood / metal, undercoat then topcoat.
Any good quality paint from Dulux, Crown, Albany, etc will do as will most own brands from the likes of B & Q and Homebase, though i personally would choose one of the former three.
I would steer clear of anything water based for outside wood and metal.
Most of these paints are single pack so if your using white it will likely eventually yellow over time.
As for painting areas you do not wish to do yourself, find someone local who can give you references to other work done locally. Expect to pay minimum of £100 a day.
Perhaps think about replacing soffits / fascias / guttering with upvc which will initialy be more costly but long term cheaper as it will just need to be cleaned (window cleaners often do this now) rather than regularly painted.
