Which bathroom extractor fan?
Hi Folks,
THe standard fan in my bathroom isn't particularly great at removing moisture from the air when the shower is being used. In the warmer months, opening the window always helps. However, in the winter, this isn't always practical.
Are there any fans which would be able to move much more moisture from the air?
Recommendations welcome.
Thank you

maybe if you can pump more air out quicker that would help what about a Manrose MF100 25W 100mm Mixed Flow Fan ?
Re: Which bathroom extractor fan?
We've got a heat exchange one in the loft. It's pretty magic! Does need fitting properly and is two holes rather than one (plus a drain hole for condensation), but even when we've got visitors it clears the room quick. It's a Vent-Axia Integra. Quieter as well with the fan not being directly in the room, the most noise is caused by the air rushing through the vent deflectors. Ours was originally fitted by muppets who (a) mixed in and out so the loft was filling with wet air, (b) didn't fit the drain hole so the unit would fill up with condensation over time, and (c) actually fitted a second hand unit. All rectified now and works a treat.

I would try to maybe clean the fan first before looking for another one. As soon as dust builds up on the edges of the fan propellers, the efficiency drastically declines. I currently have my bathroom and kitchen fan running constantly 24-7 as well as a huge wall mounted intake fan so air is always flowing through my home. All of these fans need cleaning every now and again, the amount of dust and fluff that goes through them is unbelievable. I have not had any humidity or mold problems since but it can get pretty cold in winter.

Check out Nuair.
They also do systems like Jim's as well which works for whole house.

I put one of these in to replace a existing Manrose which was very inadequate. Very easy to install, very quiet and seems very efficient - no black mould!
