Question Recommend me a mini fridge!

I hope this is in the right section... doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.

I need a mini fridge that doesn't look too out of place in a bedroom and that would fit under my desk preferably (about 70cm high max), black if possible.
Budget: unlimited, but something within reason... Diamond and gold encrusted fridges would just look tacky after all.

Will be used primarily for large bottles of water and cans of diabetes too.
Anyone have any idea how large it would need to be for say, a 12pack of cans plus 1 or 2 2ltr bottles? Don't want something so large that it is a waste of energy when not being fully utilised, but not something so small that I can't fit large bottles into it and have space for atleast 6 cans.

The more energy efficient it is, the better, but thats not what it will come down to.

    Thanks in advance

Depends if you want a proper decent one that is a true refrigerator which can cool very well (I'd recommend Husky) or a cheaper TEC one which doesn't have the same cooling power?

    is this big enough?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/LEC-R50052W-...cm_cr_dpwidget

I've owned 2 LEC fridges, both were good.

It's got a freezer box so you WILL need to DEFROST IT every year.. it's life.. that;s how they work and everytime you open the main door moisture does get in

SO.. you'd need a plan for defrosting without soaking your carpet.....ie empty it when it's frosted up and then carry down to the garden and leave to melt for the day.. clean it.. take back up stairs and leave for 8 hours to settle... then plug back in.

I won one of the small Husky fridges a while back, I don't know much about fridges but it does the job and it does the job well, I turned it down too far and it exploded some beer by freezing it, I'd certainly buy another

I own a Husky as well. It's been great, although it does need yearly defrosting.

I'm going to get one of these:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3711084652...84.m1423.l2649

And put it in the cool box I bought from Lidl for ~£9 and then get some solar panels / batteries etc and then I'll be having a solar fidge for when I go camping.

You could get one of those Peltier coolers and put it into your favourite box, with a bit of insulation you can make your own and make it look awesome.

I might cover mine in wood to give a rustic look.
