Without googling it, who knows what it is?
Recently, Sair and I went to Wales (there's a hint) and I had it, and then purcahsed a small tin of it and brought it home.
I am now thinking it's the weirdest and nicest strage food I've ever had
Any idea?

it's a green slushy mushy puddle of green mushy slush.
And so I must admit....I never asked either how it was made. I do know its' hung over large wooden frameworks on the dunes and cliffs until its' dried....but how it gets to be so slushy I just daren't ask! Must just be boiled stooopid
But....it eats well as follows:
Fry bacon
Fry cockles in light batter
Heat Lava bread...
serve together on big plate with a pint of local welsh ale
OR.....and this is where is goes slightly bready....cos it aint bread at all....
Mix Lava bread with porridge oats, until a firm paste, and then roll into balls and fry in butter, pushing down into plate patties.
now THEY were gorgeous![]()

it is definately not bread. At all.
I'll google a picture, but it comes in a tin like sardines, and is such a dark green colour, as to look black.
And it's liquid....gloppy and slimy.
And it's lovely...really lovely. But you've gotta WANT to like it. Like I did.
Pembrokeshire for me too![]()
