What you have?
TiG
Very expensive ?
Primary kit:
Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
Epson RD-1
Film Kit:
Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2
Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8
I had set menu....potato cakes (chick pea and spinach), Sea Bass in a fragrant coconut milk sauce with Naan, Black Dal, Potatoes, Rice. Cathy had a salad on asparagus and paneer with rocket in a dressing, then a spicy indian style bouillabaise with scallops, monkfish, tiger prawns and bass. Kulfi and a carrot cake for pudding, although we struggled with the texture of the carrot cake.
Expensive? Probably about the cost of a couple of good seats at a Chelsea Match. If we had stuck to set menu which included a glass of wine, coffee and three courses all with trimmings then no....but we drifted a bit and had a bottle of water(£5!!!!) wine and a few extras.
Looking at reviews, Michelin star restaurants often get a pasting for service and attitude, but it was superb at Benares. When Cathy got up to go to the loo, someone immediately followed to show her the way.
