    barnsley chops

picked up some nice barnsley chops from the butchers, and forgot to ask my usual question

"whats your fav way to cook these"

so i put it to the hexus crew..

how would you go about cooking up and serving these rather nice chops..

i have new spuds, frozen peas and fresh carrots to hand, cant be that bothered to go out hunting down more foodstuffs to go with it..

also have a glass of red wine leftover from last week to help with the gravy (must have gravy)

and the standard spice rack (rosmary mint etc..)

no mint jelly, only mint sauce

Personally, I'd probably just brush them with olive oil and loads of crushed garlic and pan fry them. No extra oil in the pan, there's enough on the chops. Just a couple of minutes each side so they are pink, then leave to rest for a few minutes. Serve with minted Jersey Mids or Royals and a knob of butter.

    Just drink the wine
    Cheers, David

ahh forgot all about this, ended up brusing them with honey and rosemary, slapped under the grill for a while, new taters and threw a bit of mint on the peas..

the gravy made the meal, half a pint of red wine fell into the pan

never heard a word from the mrs until she had finished so all was good
