advice on a good set of saucepans please!

sorry if it's slightly off topic but could any of you pro chefs please recommend a good pan set that will last a few years, not burn my hands with their cheap metal handles and have their non-stick coating peel off in the dishwasher after a single wash!

Just after the usual 3 pan set, don't need a frying pan etc. I keep seeing these celebrity chef (Antony Worrall Thompson etc) endorsed products but wonder if they are in fact any good and will stand up to a good few years of cooking?

Would welcome your thoughts if you've bought a set recently

Cheers Dave, wouldn't mind spending a lot of it was good quality and would last a few years as I do a lot of cooking at home. I'm not too far from Telford, (Wombourne) mind if I asked what shop/retailer you got it from please?

Best bet is to look online, a lot of places do free shipping and a cheaper price than I paid (Beatties, Telford).

    Glad to have helped.

Are you a costco member? my mum had an excellent set from there, can't recal the brand, but the non stick came off after about 3.5 years and they gave her a full refund.

thanks guys, I was just after a brand name that would assure quality as I don't expect much from all those pan sets that are endorsed by celeb chefs. Currently scouring for a good priced Anolon set as they look like the exact thing I'm after

The Anolon's are a good set of pans. Have had a set of them now for around 3 years, and they're still going strong. Compare that to some cheaper Tefal one's I bought around the same time, their non-stick coating is coming off and they're looking considerably worse for wear.

Amazon are doing this 4 piece set for £100:

I've used this company too, they deliver OK and price seems good as well:
