    Re: Brownies

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1...ager.offset=60 seems to have the thumbs up, I was looking for a recipe similar to the one I used to use (but is at my mums) and this one looks pretty close, although I think I used more chocolate. It is def worth using a decent chocolate with high cocoa solids to get enough richness. Once you have found a basic recipe you could experiement with other ingredients like mixed spice or cherries or if you like nuts: http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/f...es,935,RC.html but personally I think the original brownie is pretty good! If they get a bit dry I have them with ice cream. Yum!

I used to make this recipe with a certain special ingredient and glace cherries instead of the pecan nuts. I made a tray of these every month and they were possibly the gooeyiest (sorry I don't think this is a word, but it applies), tastiest brownies in the entire world. After a few tries with this recipe, I started making the point of very slightly undercooking them, and keeping them refrigerated for an even more gooey texture.
