Tomato Juice

Tomato Juice, as the name implies, should contain Tomato Juice.

I quite like it, and that'll be why I purchased a 1litre carton in Morrison's today, to drink on my journey, and to then put in the fridge for another day.

I took one swig, and nearly choked.

Salt.. blimey.. SALT... I had to eat mouthful of sandwich to make the saltyness go away.

Skim label. "Contains Tomato juice (freshly pressed, not from concentrate), Salt."

How MUCH salt? Well, get this: 1.3gm per 250 ml.

That means 1 litre contains over 5gms of SALT.

It was FOUL. It will be going back, and I shall NOT be purchasing THAT again.

I quite like that stuff too, though I only drink once in a while in fairly small quantity. Shame about, but not too surprised about the level of salt in it though. A lot of people eat tomato with salt.
