    Cooking for the bird!

    Hi all

I am planning on cooking a nice romantic meal for my girlfriend on Friday night. I'm not bad around the kitchen, but I could do with some inspiration!

Three courses would be good. She eats just about anything but I'm not too keen on fish or bananas(strange I know)

    Cheers
    Ben

Pudding: Something that includes strawberries, chocolate sauce and sqirty cream, always a good combination. (Perhaps on top of a merangue nest as they're low in points on the old weight watchers - got to counteract the other ingredients )

    OK..... how about....

Butternut Squash and Almond Tortellini - (handmade if you're feeling brave, I made them and it wasn't as scary as I'd thought! Worth the effort too ), served with melted butter, and topped with wild rocket & pamesan

    Wild Mushroom Risotto

Fruit for dessert is always nice I think - strawberries, melon, redcurrents etc

    Yum.... I'm hungry now!

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.... It was them that started me drinking.

I like the sound of the strawberries, chocolate sauce and squirty cream combo. Wild mushroom risotto could do the job too! And the chocolate fondeu sounds nice too! Perhaps I shouldn't have a starter and have two puddings!

fondue thingy is very nice with grapes, special bread - i cant remember what its called or where u can get it from tho im sure plain maderia cake would do the job tho! banana, strawberries, bodies and any other fruit u can think of.... the sauce takes something like two tubs of cream, alcohol and loads of choc theres a recipe in the cookbook by deckard for it

    (cant u tell i want u to make a choc fondue? )

    Brioche? Sweet and yummy

Go for the Mushroom Risotto... its yummy and really easy, you just need to stand over the pan for a while thats all... I haven't really got a recipe as such, but I can tell you how I make it if you want to give it a try!

I will indeed, although not in too much detail

If you can let me know how to do the risotto that would be excellent!
