Our current oven gloves are awful. You can only hold things for a few seconds before getting burnt. Can anyone recommend some decent oven gloves, don't really care what style, just as long as they work.
Just use a tea towel?

Actually, i think that is the best idea.
I have a pair of Le Creuset oven gloves and they are too thick and unweildy. So I just use a tea towel.
You could get a few pairs of Kevlar gloves from a hardware store or industrial supplier, they are great for sheilding heat

We use them at work when dealing with hot surfaces.
How hot are the surfaces you use them on?

JML do some oven gloves that are actual gloves. They seems to work well up to about 10 seconds, which is usually long enough.
Yeah, those silicone rubbery ones are brilliant
Great for getting heavy cast iron cookware out of the oven

I really should check the forums more often, these are the Silicone ones that I use:
Kitchen Craft Masterclass Gauntlet Style Oven Glove / Mitt
Can't fault them, well, apart from they are sold individually instead of as a pair.
I have these: http://www.coolskin.com/coolskin-gtx.htm
They're Nomex, like racing suits..!
That's extortion.

Order from an industrial supplier and you can get them for a third of that price or less.
