Red face help me cook a meal!!!

hi everyone, im in a small bind.

got a friend of mine coming over for a quiet night in today (saturday 10th - yeah short notice for this i know ) and basically im meant to be sorting something to eat. problem is, although i can 'cook' in the sense that i can bung stuff in a pan or in the oven, i cant really do anything else. basically ive kinda got an idea of what the meal needs to be. its only a main course so that saves me a bit

    it needs to be:

    - Some kind of pasta dish (got more pasta here than i know what to do with)
    - For 2 people
    - Not have mushrooms in it
    - Simple (and i mean simple) to make
    - Not need any other utensils than basic pans and stuff
    - Not need any real cooking skills to make

this is probably asking the impossible, but im sure you guys are upto the task also, im have no real form of transport so the only shop available to me is a small budgens

    thanks in advance,

    Matt

excellent, you are a saint Deckard!

they all sound great, now ive just got to decide which one to do!

quick question (probably seems super retarded but hey...) some of the recipies are for 4 people, do i litterally just halve all the amounts of ingredients for 2??

    thanks,

    Matt

Yeah, pretty much all of those recipes cn be scaled down by halving everything... the only time that doesn't really work is with the sauces where you might want to only reduce the quantity by a third or so.

Let us know how you get on!
