What???:O_o1:
Home made raspberry jam, with raspberries from the garden.
Om Nom Nom!!!
Golden syrup is good too :)
honey and/or banana
beans.
Are baked beans permissible in this survey :P
Thick slice of "hack n slash" white bread.
Good butter and If I'm feeling decadent then maybe a smear of Bonne Maman Blackcurrant jam or some good Marmalade. If I need an energy boost chunky peanut butter, but not that sunpat rubbish, whole earth or nothing!
Unless I'm at work in which case I'd have any kind of toast going since they took the toasters out of the staff rooms. :(
Loads of melted cheese surely? Maybe with a bit of Worcester sauce or a few slices of pickled jalapenos or, if you\'re feeling really fancy, spread some tomato puree on before you add the cheese. Pizza toast. Mmmmmmm.....
Yup - no toasters, microwaves or kettles where I work for health and safety reasons apparently. But you can buy something for the supposedly subsidised canteen which is both more expensive and lower quality than the local cafes. Grumble grumble grumble.
Cheese and sweet 'n' sour sauce <3
Crunchy PB and sliced banana (or cucumber if I'm feeling a bit wild) with just a touch of salt.
Cheese and marmite.
Red Leicester grated, honey or some proper jam(not supermarket junk)
Proper marmalade in the morning. With coffee.
Marmite in the afternoon. With tea.
Very thin smear of pesto, chopped fresh tomato, a good grated (not sliced) cheese like Cathedral City, then grill lightly until golden.
Alternatively, and with less mucking about, a good homemade marmalade. If you can't make your own, and it's a lost art these days, Wilkin & Son do the best (and closest to homemade) I've yet to find out of a jar. They do several, but my reference is Tiptree. Oh, and their jams are pretty good too. They may not be the cheapest marmalade you can get, but hey, they're not that expensive, and sometimes quality is worth paying a bit extra for.
another for beans, but adding a fried egg on top, known in my family as "sh*t with egg on" :)
Alternatively, a really nice scrambled egg with smoked salmon, made with just eggs, cream and salt n pepper.
Or that really nice Bon maman fig conserve, or the ginger one :)
My fiancés grandson (age 5) is always round here asking for "crunchy toast" - I use Delia Smith's tip to get it just right ! (the only thing Delia ever taught me)
Butter and Bovril.
A good cheese, either sliced or grated, a sprinkle of crushed garlic and add as many strips of crunchy bacon as you want.
I'm hungry... :|
