    Easy Cantonese Chicken Stir Fry

    Cantonese Chicken Stir Fry


    Serves 4
    Prep Time : 10 mins
    Cooking Time : 10 mins


    Ingredients
    400g chicken breast, sliced
    1 tsp. vegetable oil
    1 red onion, shredded
    1 red pepper, sliced
    1 jar Cantonese sauce
    100g beansprouts
    2 tbs. fresh coriander, chopped

    Method
    Warm a wok over a moderate heat and add the vegetable oil.

    Stir fry the chicken for two minutes until evenly browned, then add the onion and peppers and stir fry for two more minutes.

    Add the catonese sauce, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for three minutes, then stir in the beansprouts and coriander and cook for one more minute.

    Serve with boiled rice.

    Cantonese sauce? I didnt know you could buy just 'cantonese sauce'? I thought you could buy specific ones? Or is this what you meant?

    Cantonese sauce is similar to the the sauce used on BBQ ribs, but slightly less rich, so you can say inbetweem BBQ sauce and Sweet and Sour sauce.
