    presure cooker help

    hi all do people still use pressure cookers if so anyone recommend a good one thanks.

    My guess is they are all much of a muchness. Mine has a good system of switching between two pressures and allowing the steam to escape. I recall the old ones just had weights...but they still worked fine.

    I don't use it a lot....cooking dried pulses mostly, but also steamed puddings. Anything that would other wise take hours.

    Mine is just a cheap one made by Tower but it does the job. Great for making stock and can reduce cook-time on loads of stuff.

    Buying a pressure cooker is kind of like a rice cooker - most of the time the cheaper it is, the better it is. They are so simple and the dishes you can make with them is really decent
