YEah I agree crap show but not necesarily Gordon's fault.
I mean its basically reality TV (on the lines of I'm a celebrity etc) and i'm afraid that kind of s**t sells these days.

AS you say there was absolutely no cooking whatsoever in it.

I have to say i'm not going to be watching it again.

The stars are already stars and I dont see too many of them subjegating their egos for long enough for him to be able to teach them anything, problem is that they give Ramsay a live restaurant to do this in, ouch.

its a sack...its worse than Big Brother..its humiliation on TV for people who's careers are dead.

Dwayn Chambers...well I had higher hopes for him. Anyone with the resilience to train for years to hit the highest level should do well in a kitchen...you get knock backs in sport....

Belinda will be OK..to be a musical star takes time and patience....so long as she dont blub.

    Edwina....yeah...right....

the rest.....exception of the super tall comedian bloke, they all suck

I am SO GLAD Roger Cook is gone already....cack tv

I agree... very disppointing all in all... At least with something like Jamie's Kitchen they were aiming to work in the restaurant once the show was over, he was paying for it as a business etc. This was just... pointless, in the Big Broither sense. Wasn't a foodie programme at all. Won't be watching again.

That just summed it up really! He made it seem rather a joke right from the start.

    Oh well...

Ok ill admit I watched the end of tonight's Hells Kitchen

IT was c**p of course but exciting nonetheless. I have to say Ramsay is on a hiding to nothing letting that lot cook in his own restaurant. Apparently some 40 or so people left without being served on the first night.

Chambers seems to be an awful wuss . Seemingly cant handle being shouted at.
Was talking to a friend of mine today about restaurant kitchens and Ramsay etc and he said he used to work in a restaurant a bit like that in France where everyone was seriously stressed and youd get a slap across the face if you did anything wrong .

Ooooo eck I feel totally out numbered here but I quite enjoyed it.

For me though Gordon Ramsay needs to take his head out of his arse and maybe try something a little bit unusual, he should show these people how to cook the dishes instead of just refusing to send the food out. By continually standing there rubbing his eyes instead of being pro-active and helping them makes him seem like a bit of a burk.

But the biggest thing for me is that if I went to a restaurant and heard someone f-ing and blinding all the time I would get up and leave, I don't care how good the food is it just isn't professional and isn't indicative to a relaxing and enjoyable night out.

Angus Deaton makes it watch able for me as I think he is funny.

I quite like it but think that Ramsay had to be mad to accept it, I mean you cant teach his standard of cooking in a few weeks, especially with self-absorbed stars who were not even listening to his instruction. Gives normal people an idea however of how much pressure there is in food service.

When I saw that topic I directly referd to our school kitchen. The food taste like ****. I don't know how you can "miscook" food so miserable. I'm glad that I have my examination on friday, just a few days left to surrvie that food. And *yes* soon lunch... I'm really looking forward to see what's for lunch today and then try to eat it.

Exactly, thats what makes it so pointless. It's just a set-up for obvious disaster, and I can't be bothered to watch it!

Well thing is that he focussed with them on a menu he thought they would manage but I get the impression that they thought it was a game and didn't take it seriously
