I don't, but if you know anyone who knows anyone who works in catering or is a chef, but apparently they can get 'industry prices' if you're happy with a white one
I'm sure you have googled -

Was the cheapest I found.
I looked at these last xmas - in the end I went for the Kenwood Chef as it was far better value and had better reviews in terms of build quality and reliability. At the time it was only £286 and included several attachments and the food processor and blender add ons:

...it's not as nice looking but it definitely does the job
yes m8 i am mulling over this one http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Mixers/buy-...0-Mixer/402826
sorted a Kenwood KM020 Titanium Major for £375 all in, 1st use will be the other halfs birthday cake 2 days after my birthday :)
It's not the same one, but my mum got a Kenwood mixer recently and I was really surprised at how well it was made. It's really heavy and substantial.
We would love one in our house, but had to settle for a hand mixer for the time being. Again we got the Kenwood one, nothing else in John Lewis (had vouchers to spend) came close to the build quality. Really disapointed with the Dualit, felt like a cheap toy, especially the "chrome" one which is just shiny plastic.
i have the dualit blender stick, POS tbh. way to fast to use the mixer or balloon whisk, the blender stick seized up after 1 year, at least new ones cost £13 for 2 (delivery cost more than 1 stick) and it blew a none changeable fuse that i ended up bypassing and leaving the mains fuse to do its job.
still we have there kettle and 4 slot toaster that are great.
The Dualit stuff used to be made in the UK(the more expensive toasters still are made here) but they shifted production in the last few years to China and additionally started cutting costs on top of this. They seem to be more worried about making their new stuff more shiny.
Not necessarily a sign of poor craftsmanship - my mum's had her Kenwood for donkey's years with no issues. They're also cheaper and have the slot for the liquidiser/blender attachment on the top. If you go Kitchenaid you don't get that. IMHO, you're largely paying for the look, and admittedly they are the mutt's nuts, but ultimately you're going to be fine with either, they're both great brands.
I was after a mixer for my 21st until I realised that I can do just as good a job with my fingers and a rotary whisk when called for.
Have you looked at the KMix? They're around £330 on Amazon.
The Kitchenaids are very much cheaper in the US(look at the price over there) and it is certainly more than 20% to 30%(if you include VAT). For instance a KitchenAid K45SS has a UK RRP of £256 excluding VAT on Amazon UK.In the US the RRP excluding taxes is $269.99 on Amazon or around £170. It seems that it is really difficult to get the KitchenAid Professional range here too.
The older Kenwoods were great(many used to be made here just like with the first Dysons) . The main issues for me is whether the quality of the motors made in China will be the same as the British,French or US ones(will they last 10 years??) and whether parts availability will be as good as with the older models. Having said the current Kenwood mixers do have a large motor so hopefully these will be relatively unstressed.
However, when £400 to £800 kitchen appliances are being made in China to save money it does make me think how expensive it is to make any consumer products in Europe. Even Dualit are doing the same thing.
OTH,at least when it comes to monitors Hazro assemble their monitors here IIRC and they are quite competitively priced too. I don't know how they do it?? Maybe their one worker must be very tired!!:p
It is more satisfying doing it by hand although for doing larger and more frequent jobs a mixer is more convenient I suppose.
yep i looked, but the reviews of the kenwood km020 along with the food processor and liquidizer attachments did it for me, i have been making do with hand mixing, bit of a bitch when making bread dough for pizza, i like cooking so this will assist in doing things i couldn't be arsed to do before :)
Your hands will become fat through lack of exercise!!
:p
fatter ;)
