Chilli Gods Needed For A Cheats Recipe!!!
Just been for a wobble down to the local Co-Op and managed to pick up a couple of nice packs of reduced stewing steak, normally my chillis consist of a Schwartz 'Tex Mex' packet and a few extras, and some beef steak mince. I'm at work again tomorrow daytime so want something simple to cook that i can leave to rot for tea on sunday night :D, idea is to use the Schwartz packet mix again...guess what i really want to ask about is how would be best to cook the steak for the chilli?
:)

depends how tender you want it, best bets to quick fry the steak to brown it and toss it in and simmer for about an hour and a half, double the water quantity and simmer it down until its thick.

This is where I tend to disagree with many cooks, I like my meat to taste of meat, so I cook it for as little time as possible.
Heat a little oil and brown the steak with the seasoning, garlic puree and tomatoe puree and Worcestershire Sauce. Add any veggies you're including such as mushrooms, peppers, jalepenos etc and cook those until they're softening. Then add chopped tomatoes and simmer until the tomatoes break down.
At this stage taste the sauce and any additional spices
