    Are you a Crunchy Nut??

Charlotte was moaning when we got up this morning because we had run out of Crunchy nut cornflakes.

    So I made some

Get some nuts (all we ahd were cashew nuts and walnuts) put them in a bag and hit a few times with a rolling pin.

Put some cornflakes in a bowl and mix with some honey (we used runny honey, if you use set, you'd have to warm it first me thinks).

Then add the "crunched" nuts and mix some more.

    Serve with milk.

I'd have given directions to the nearest shop , pointed out that shreddies are much nicer and healthier , then gone back to sleep

Charlotte said that it wouldn't work.

So it was more just to prove a point

    Were they ludicrously tasty?
Now that is something new, D.I.Y. cereal!
    Does sound pretty tasty though?

First bowl was a little too sweet - too much honey.

Second bowl was just right - but it's up to you how much of each ingredient you put in

Next step would be to maybe mix it with some clusters??

It's only doing what Kellogs do but instead of making 20 million tonnes of hte stuff (maybe I exaggerrate a little) I made two bowls

Take one shredded wheat, a bag of sugar and a tapestry loom.....

    Nah.

Don't think it's going to work.

As De La Soul so pertinently asked: How many fibres are intertwined in a Shredded Wheat biscuit?
