Kitchen Aid ftw!
(food blender declaration of war)
Yep, everything in the second picture was squeezed inside the big box. Have to admit I did do a bit of a double take when I saw the size of the box but the actual mixer is reasonably compact.
Did a couple of cakes this afternoon, would have taken pictures of them too but I was a little too busy eating them. Want to try some bread next as that's more of a pain to do by hand so I think I'll get more satisfaction out of using the mixer.
oh.....
OHHHHHHHHH
OHHHHHHH
OOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
that looks lovely

I think the cheaper models just come with the liquidiser.
But if you still want to trash your blender, throwing a brand new technology product in there and posting a video of the resulting waste of money on YouTube seems to be a popular choice...
I'm still getting emails on these from Amazon. They really are pushing hard.

has anyone got a magimix just wondering if i should fork out for one ??
I went ahead and purchased the wife a Kenwood Kmix will let you know what she thinks of it after Christmas.
What are the differences between the various models? Looking at the Kenwood site they don't even seem to mention the extras in the boxes....
I.e. Does any of them come with the "slicing the dicing" accessory?

Erm .... as a Christmas present?
If so, I hope she specifically asked for it. I remember making the mistake of getting the wife something "useful", and that she'd said she wanted, for a Christmas present once, many years ago. Put it this way,
despite the fact that she wanted it, she made very clear that "useful" household items were not an acceptable Christmas present. That category included perfume, clothes (if you get it right), jewellery (also subject to accurately predicting her tastes), CDs, and so on, but not kitchen equipment.
I hope you know what you're doing with that present.
