    Need Ideas

OK we all hate them. Colds/Flu. The remedy best used is a hot drink of Lemsip normally, but its FOUL!! Any ideas to make it more acceptable to the taste buds? Tried with sugar and honey (lots of it) but its STILL revolting.

I normally make up my own hot lemon drinks.
Juice of one lemon in a cup then fill it with water and add honey to taste, you can use this to wash down a paracetamol.
Be very careful with paracetamol as it is the number one overdose drug in the world afaik.
A lot of people OD when they take tablets with hot drinks when they have a cold, nasty. Get well soon.

Best not take headache tablets then with it! Trying Sudafed (tablets) at the moment, although its been 4 hours, so about to take another Lemsip. I'll need to take shares out in honey at this rate!

Warm lemon and honey is nice, with fresh lemons. Ohh and a redoxon vitamin C!

The Germans do it by heating a lager in the microwave, it tastes absolutely disgusting but you have to drink the hot beer as hot as you can take it, then wrap up and off to bed to sweat it out, it can work, personally I think it is another excuse to drink beer although they hardly need an excuse

There's no cure for colds or flu, since they are viri. The best you can hope for is to alleviate symptoms, many of which are caused by dehydration, so drink plenty of fluids. Not just a hot drink every four hours, but try a nice glass of lemon squash as well, to keep the fluid levels up.
