    Best ready made pasta sauces?

Now and again I don't have time to make a nice pasta sauce, so I sometimes opt for a pre-made one like Knorr's 'Ragu'. However, I find that a lot these types of sauces leave a lot to be desired. Do you folks have any recommendations?

Thirded, especially if you chuck some lemon juice/zest and a green pepper in with it.

The only thing I really buy for pasta are the Sacla pesto's (although we made our own the other day and it was heaven!)
The green pesto is really good, and there's a sun dried tomato and black olive paste that is ace too. I normally just add some peppers and maybe grated mozzarella.
    Mmmm

mmmm - you're spot on there, i love this stuff

whenever i use ready made sauces, i usually do a bit of modding by adding lots of extra stuff in any case, so they usually don't bear that much resemblance to what they started as

I like the chilled pasta sauces in TESCO (next o the pseudo fresh pasta)
The Napoletana and Arribiata (spelling? not ameriticana spelling?) are both
the nice ones. Both are 84p each.

hmmmmm damn straight...the arrabiata one is gorgeous. Can also use it to make a nice bruchetta type thingy or in cheese toasties!
