    O Hitashi (Japanese)

    You need:

    spinach (i prefer baby leaves)
soy sauce (this should be a japanese one with dashi, get it from japan centre)
but normal soy sauce is ok.

Microwave spinach for about 30 seconds then rinse cold and squeeze the water out. Then put some soy sauce on a saucer and mix the bogey looking green blobs into it.

    Taste: not bad for spinach.

Several variations of this recipe, but I am told it should be served warm not hot....u know like body temperature. I use dark cabbage greens sometimes as well and top with sesame seeds.

If you order o-hitashi they will think you want the spinach one as its the most common.

Clingy is right, to be a bit more accurate its normally with sesame either seeds or ground up. Also it should have dashi sprinkled on top.... (in this case the dashi is dried fish smashed up)

I wouldnt have it warm, It has always been served cool/cold when i have had it.
