    Accidental great combinations/recipes?

    My recent discovery

Bought a whole rabbit on Saturday from the local butchers on a bit of a whim.

No idea what to do with it so went for the treat-it-like-roast-chicken approach.

Accidentally left a bit too long in the oven so it came out quite dry (I was forewarned it can be dry so had already covered surface in olive oil, but even so - too long is too long)

On a whim, found some old Korean black pepper sauce in the cupboard and ended up ripping bits off and dunking it in that. EVEN BETTER than Peking duck. Luverly.

it is VERY ducky when dry.. and chews nicely off the bone.

Next time you have it to roast.. and you SHOULD.....

220'C for first 10 minutes.. just salt and pepper on the flesh...

then pour half pint chicken stock in the roasting tray, with couple onions and carrots if you have them.. oven down to 180.. and baste EVERY ten minutes

    yes it's a faff

    yes it tastes awesome

NO you cant roast potatoes in same over.. the steam will stop them workin....

    yes it's lovely with rice
