    Aleppo pepper

Living in a culinary desert called Cumbria, I have a lot of problems sourcing authentic ingredients and rely heavily on mail order. However even after much googling I haven't found a UK source for aleppo pepper (also called near east pepper). It comes from Syria originally I think, and is an essential ingredient for, among other things, chorizo sausage.

I've tried all the very useful links in the UK suppliers list sticky to no avail. Does anyone live near a spice shop that sells aleppo pepper? If so would you be prepared to get me some? Its a long shot I know.

Stoo, you're a hero. I actually did a search on this website but I was searching for 'aleppo pepper', I should have thought of searching for just 'aleppo' -doh!

Have ordered the spice and will be making my own chorizo sausage shortly.
