I have to say most of the time I spend drinking in Bristol is on The Apple - I'm a big cider fan when I get down West to get the proper stuff

Looking to go up to London and do the Bermondsey beer mile. Its now spread a bit to become 1.5 miles but its doable on a Saturday. Its 6 breweries (2 sharing a tap at one location) and a bar/bottle shop, all within about a mile and a half. Heres al ink to my friends blog about it

Venues are
Fourpure, Partizan, Kernel, Brew by Numbers, Anspach & Hobday/Bullfinch, The Bottle Shop
also a good pub at the end if your still thirsty.

really nice bloke as well, has helped other brewers set up by lending them space in his brewery and giving them hops.
I'm quite keen on a beer that my local brewery, Potton Brewery makes called The Village Bike.
oh GOOD call

Nestling under the hill at Chequers in Bucks I was fortunate to spend a pleasant Saturday afternoon on a tasting tour
A Local baker takes some beer away and brings back beer bread, local person makes beer biscuits too (special they are ) and with some fantastic locally made cake with fruit soaked in beer too... what a tasting we had
Some really good cheeses too, complimented by the right beer was part one.. and it was good magic they weaved.
But the finest combo... Bodgers Barley Wine.. with Beer soaked fruit cake... oh .. my .. word.
The flavour of the sweet cake and sweeter barley wine was nectar. My mates face was a picture! The two flavours combined to something .. so extraordinary.. it was a pure treat
The brewery runs the Farmers Arms pub in local Aylesbury town, just off the market square, and very old building which they rent from the National Trust.
go.. just go and drink a few

I tend to buy a bulk session beer and some bottles of more interesting stuff such as imperial stouts.

agreed
my locals are closer to £2 per pint up to 6 pints but it's relevant to thr area and thats still ace value around here

There's plenty of good microbrews up in Manchester if anyone fancies heading north....
Speaking of buying direct from the brewer, I was lucky enough to befriend a local one (now closed sadly - he decided making twice the money working half the hours was a good idea ) who supplied me a couple of pins for a party ... at trade prices
Joined CAMRA at the real ale festival this January, so I'm a proper card-carrying, beard-wearing real ale boffin now! Sometimes it surprises me just how many small and micro breweries one city can support...
