Hi guys
I guess in this part of the forum is used by skilled and experience chefs . So hi to all.
I am a beginner to the kitchen. i can only cook some foods .but i love cooking so i think this is a great community to join.
so i like to learn the basics. somethings like what are the kitchen knifes, what are the varieties of them ,what are the techniques we use to cut vegetables(i heard there are some formal ways of doing it) .so someone can start a lesson about these things then it will be a great experience for me and/or us.
thank you

Re: Hi guys
As a beginner don't start with the different varieties of knives or formal techniques. Get a cheap knife that you won't cut your own fingers off with and learn some slow but safe ways of cutting veg - generally think about how you're holding them, where your fingers are, and the directions the knife could move in. If you're not a pro then you can spare the few seconds longer it takes you while you learn what you're making.
