Frozen coke

Excuse me for the lameness of this .. but here goes...

Take a Coke can and put it in the freezer. Keep checking at regular intervals. When the coke is icy, your drink is ready. Enjoy your liquid ice.. I mean iced coke.

I'm surprised it freezes with the number of additives to the water, carbonation and can pressure. And if it did, wouldn't it just rupture?

I switched from sugary drinks to diet/sugar free a long time ago - "full fat" coke and pepsi tastes sickly to me these days.

I'm partial to the occasional Coke Zero, Pepsi max tastes too artificial (standard Diet Pepsi is nicer than Max, but Pepsi Max cherry is nicer than Coke Zero cherry).

I actually quite like the "green" coke, reduced sugar one, though I only tend to drink it on Xmas/New Years, I might try this then.

back in the 70s or early 80s you used to get something like iced jubblies that were made of a cheap coke copy. there were these plastic containers that had cheap drinks in that were about the size of a cup and you tore the lid off that was made of a thin plastic layer like what you get on the top of new bottles of ketchup under the metal lid. you could either buy them as liquid to drink but in summer, corner stores would have some in the freezer as a cheap ice lolly type thing

I drink the gold one, caffine and sugar free, to mix with my rum as I don't like mixing caffine with my alcohol if I can avoid it.

I tend to drink a special version of coke. It is de-carbonated, has all the sugar and flavourings removed and can easily be frozen.

It's widely available from most taps everywhere 😊
