I take a bit of an issue ordering with HasBean ever since i found out the owner is a Mackem
These are good in a proper expresso machine

A snag is that you have to buy 6Kg at a time, so unless you are off your head with caffeine, they may go stale before you use them all. If you can find a few friends with the same (coffee) tastes, then it might be worth getting together.

Finally got a grinders (thanks Santa!) but I'm totally lost with what to try. I normally drink the Lavazza espresso and it's 'fine', the only other coffee I know I quite liked was Starbucks (sorry) Ethiopian origin blend.
I'm after something smooth, not too sweet or strong, nothing with too powerful a taste, any ideas?
This Christmas I was mostly drinking http://archive.hasbean.co.uk/christm...nd-2014__12220. Sadly I've run out now, but the Bolivian coffees are coming in so, yum.
I tend to stick with Raves Columbian Suarez, I have been down the list and gone back to it each time. Hasbean coffee was a tad light on the roast for my liking.

In fairness, before i found out, all the coffee i had from there was exceptional (one of which was your recommendation from my 'Coffee Machine' thread).... I just cant bring myself to order after all those derby defeats!
I have signed up to Pact for the time being to try out what they send me.
I got my first delivery from Pact today (I guess they just mean dispatch it the same day). Very nice packaging. It comes in a labelled, high quality, foil coated, resealable paper bag which is then put into a paper cardboard envelope box along with a little magazine.
Magazines are something im usually annoyed by, but in this case I actually thought it was OK. Decent standard of writing and some interesting articles including recipes and little facts about coffee.
The coffee itself.... well i cant comment today as i manually ground the beans but forgot to turn the grind off on my bean to cup machine so im currently drinking a mixture of Taylors Italian and Brazilian Fazenda Lagoa
Smells lovely in the bag though so I will definitely be drinking it again tomorrow morning.
Gotta bookmark this thread. Huge fan of coffee, usually buy from Monmouth Coffee in London.
http://www.monmouthcoffee.co.uk/ Unfortunately they don't sell online.
Typically go for the South American/ Brazilian coffees.
If any of you end up in London, it's definitely worth a try, there is usually a queue outside of people waiting to buy take away coffee or waiting for seats so be prepared to wait.
I have stood in the queue at the Borough Market Monmouth Coffee several times, but ended up heading in to the Market Porter for a pint instead. Luckily I have a very good coffee shop / roaster in a nearby town.
Ah the Borough Market one is my favourite, it's got the Hotel Chocolat shop close by. Dark Chocolate and black coffee, bliss.
