New oven not cooking things right

We've just had our kitchen re-done, and this means a new oven. We've used it a few times, and it seems to be undercooking everything, even with fan and 3d air rubbish on, is there a gadget you can get that will tell you what temperature you're getting?

did you go from gas to electric ? or the other way round ?
can you name the oven ?

all ovens should hit the temp aimed for if set up right .. fan assisted ovens even more so .. but there are slight differences in gas and electric ..
electric take time to come up to full power and if the door opens then lose it very easy ..

    give us a clue ?

It's a Bosch HBM43B250B, electric, fan assisted, we were using electric before, but in a stove setup rather than a built-in.

I've had a thermometer delivered, will try it out tonight...

Re: New oven not cooking things right

I had this issue, in reverse, with a Panasonic combination microwave / grill / fan oven. First time we used it it incinerated our dinner.

I checked it out with an oven thermometer, and it was reaching 20-25 degrees higher than we set it. So set it at 200, you get about 225.

I should have taken it straight back, but due to complicated life circumstances we didn't-t get around to it.

It still works, and still cooks fine BUT we have to remember to adjust all temp settings ourselves, which is a right pain.

My advice? Check that the oven thermostat is right and, seems the case, it isn't, get it replaced immediately.

Re: New oven not cooking things right

Right, so my wife was baking last night, and where the oven temp was set to 190 degrees on the console, the thermometer inside said 170. Think we might need to give Bosch a call...
