So you were actively looking for fields of sheep, Dan?

I did have my suspicions when you told me you were moving out there. Kinda surprised you didn't settle down in Wales when you came back.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

I can only assume that you've either not tried a Rose recently, or you've only ever bought it from a supermarket. There's some amazing pinks out there nowadays; all sorts of subtle flavours from pinks that you might think were white in a blind tasting through to fruity rich almost-reds. And there's the odd one or two that obviously want to be port when they grow up ... slightly sweet but with a rich fruitiness that ...

heh, let's say I'm quite a fan of unusual pinks

Perhaps, but it at least has the product to back up the marketing, unlike the aforementioned lamb & pork (which are frankly nowhere near as good as their British counterparts). Prosecco is definitely a different beast to both Cava and Champagne, and for me it probably just shades it, although I'm fond of Cava too. Champagne (imo, at least) offers nothing to justify the significantly higher prices it attracts.

As to the original question? Mu.

Spent many holidays in Wales in my youth seeing the family, new pastures and all that you know Dave.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.

    Re: Red or White....or Rose?

Depends on context. But usually red.
I do like white on a hot day, or with seafood or as an apetiser (or fino sherry) or desert wine
But mostly I prefer red wine
