You don't get that with Saffa choccies, even the same make/model like Astros, Cadbury's dairy milk, or Top Deck(yes, they still make that one out there).
Summat to do with the type of sugar they use, I believe.
I know Australian chocolate tastes very different from European chocolate, its the stuff they put in it to stop it turning into chocolate soup in hot weather.

Its the same with the Cheddar Cheese I had in Asia(including the Aussie Kraft one in the blue package),it has stuff added to it so the heat does not make it go off quickly.
Having said that the Aussie Kelloggs Corn Flakes I did find nicer than the ones here. Vegemite not so much.
