tbh, uk gerkins suck ass, especialy mcdonald ones.
if you want propper gerkins you need to find a jewish or german deli
given I've never seen a german deli in london, you're kinda stuck with jewish ones.
Still, a propper dill is delicious!

Pickle's are 1 of my favourite foods. I blame my mother as she apparently ate loads of pickled onions and gerkins etc while pregnant with me so I expect that's rubbed off slightly.
Gherkins, yum.
Pickled silverskin onions, yum. Pickled cabbage (sauerkraut), yum. Cornichons, yum. Pickled herring, yum.
My desert island ingredient - got to be vinegar.
Anyone like pickled eggs?

With fish & chips you can never go wrong with a gherkin or saveloy to top it off.
Gherkins also go nicely with salads, at first impression it looks just like another green and boring veggie, but oh no... it's a gherkin
Never satisfied with the two slices chucked in at McDonalds either...
omg, I love gherkins. When I was like 12ish I hated 'em, but now I find the gherkin, + ketchup inside a McDs is pretty much heaven. Long live the g'kins!

They're the only nice bit in a McD's.
i like them too...and ive got some scotch bonnet chilli peppers pickling in a jar on the window sill, almost 1 year old, but im scared to try them in case ive made some kind of undiscovered biological agent.
