Answer the question
Do you eat pure capsaicin washed down with burning Tabasco?
Or do you consider pepper adventurous?
I'm a spicy person, me. *wolfs down five more hot chillies*

think you're confusing spice with heat
I work with quite a few _real_ indian guys who eat very spicey food, but it is not hot at all. As for the pakistanis, now they do like a little chilli![]()

I used to live with a jamaican lad. Oh man I never realised why they called it jerk chicked until I had the real thing.
I'll say I'm a SpiceWuss, I'll only go as far as medium curries but I enjoy a spicy taste.
spices that are full of flavour are great. spices that just blow your head off and leave your mouth numb are not.
Medium/mild curries all the way.
I love spicy/aromatic foods. Definitely "spicy as hell".![]()
With my parents being from India, I was bought up eating spicey food. I don't have a problem with eating most hot dishes, but I personally don't enjoy them so much.
I enjoy a bit of spice, but not to the point where your ears turn red, you start to sweat, your nose begins to run and only cold yoghurt could help your tongue from burning off.![]()
Try some szechuan pepper. That is interesting! Sets your tongue on tingling fire. I on't mind hot food but my diaphragm does. I get terrible hiccoughs.
Not around too often!
Yes, spice is nice in moderation...the whole point of it is to add flavour, not so that you end up hacking your tongue off with a steak knife just to feel better...*uh oh* too late!
I like hot , but it has it's place, so hot you can't taste anything is a bit pointless imo.
I do however like making hot pickles and sauces, & currently have both Chocolate Habonero's and Naga's in the fridge ready for use. The Naga's are going in some home made Lime Pickle to make my patent 'Naga & Lime' sauce![]()
spice in moderation - only to avoid gut rot, I like hot but don't like have to 'pay for it'...
I love my food uber-spicy ie. burn your mouth and singe your taste spuds, but i do agree it is better with a lot of flavour aswell. now where did I put my scotch bonnets :S.. hmm
meatball sub with as many jalapenos on it as possible![]()
