My housemate saw the instant packs and said "we should make that, used to do it when i was a kid". needless to say i laughed at him, its easy enough to do it properly and much nicer
2ox Granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cold water
15fl oz milk
1oz sugar
4 eggs
vanilla essence
Dissolve the sugar in the water over a gentle heat then bring to boil untill golden brown. Swirl it around serving dish
Heat the milk gently to dissolve the sugar and then add the beaten eggs. Strain onto the caramel. Cook in a bain marie, aprox gas mark 2/140 degrees for 45mins
Thats enough for a house full of students and the magic thing with it is you dont need to buy any food you shouldnt already have.
