    Butter

Right, what with new year approaching, and the need to be healthier, I have decided to try and eat less butter.

Problem is, I have toast for breakfast with butter smothered all over it! And I love it!

Anyone got any suggestions for butter alternatives that actually taste buttery? All the ones I have tried just don't taste right - they soak into the bread and make it soggy and taste yuck.

Hmmm. I have tried them a year or so ago but they didn't really do it for me.

I have heard that Olive Oil spreads are the healthiest?

Well, are you only going to be cutting out butter? Or are you going to cut out alot of the other bad stuff you eat? Not much point if you're only going to cut out butter & then go out for e.g. a McDonalds.

I'm going to try and cut down on a lot of things really. I know butter is just the start, but i figure getting off to a good start every day is important!

butter might be not be the *best* foodstuff for you, but it is a lot better than some chemically derived, over processed mixture that you have problems reading the ingredients off the back.

    in my opinion anyway

Don't think I can manage that for breakfast though!! Bit too much food.

Ideally I would like to have cereal, but I find it too time consuming. I'd prefer the extra 10 minutes in bed!!
