I'll put together a complete list over the cards now and see what kind of prices and dates I can get on them. Will then post it here. :)

Thanks Per. I'm back in the market for a 6800GT. I ordered one from overclockers.co.uk last Wednesday because they promised 'large quantities' of cards arriving the next day with 'plenty' left over after pre-orders had been fulfilled. Being gullible I placed an order, they took my money and I began to wait for my card. When Thursday arrived I checked their forum and saw a post my an OCUK employee stating they had only 50 cards arriving and pretty much no-one who ordered since their statement of 'plenty' would actually get one. I posted a message asking why deliberately misleading language (ie. 'large quantities', 'plenty') was used on the Tuesday news item and was ignored. I asked the question again and was critical of their customer service - I even posted a link to a UK reseller ratings site that rates OCUK at 3.68 our of 10 (Komplett scores 6.19 BTW!!). I was promptly banned from their forums after that. I decided to cancel my order last Friday and sent them two e-mails asking them to do so - they were both ignored and my money is still in *their* bank account.
Buyer beware! When OCUK promises large quantities of cards and leads you to think you'll get one it's actually a clever tactic to gather pre-orders and then sit and make interest off your money while you wait weeks for the cards to arrive (one guy has been waiting for his 6800GT from OCUK for 2 months, they've had his money that whole time!).
Sorry for the ranting. Any info about your 6800GT cards would be appreciated Per. Cheers. :)
Now you know why a lot of us won't touch OCUK with a barge-pole ;)

I see the dates have been put back again for the GT to the 30th, plus the prices have been lowered to £317, are out discounts going to be adjusted as well to reflect this change??
Cheers
Hang on, according to my account section on Komplett, the card has been released for delivery :)
Pat, have you had some cards delivered then??

Yes we have. They are shipping today. Your patience has finally paid off. :)
Any word on the Sapphire x800xt timeline yet?
Nothing new on the dates, no... However, the purchasing dept have again informed us that as soon as they are available from our suppliers, we get them.
Well, my GT is out for delivery so I expect it to be here later today. :-D
I'll get it chucked in when it arrives to benchmark.
Well, it's here and the default clocks are 400/1100,where as most GT's are 350/1000.
Well happy, just about to test it.
Ah, my first Hexus post ... hello everyone! Looking for a graphics card on the cheap (if ~£300 can be considered cheap!).
So, Per, any update on current prices with discounts? The earlier posts are probably a little out of date now?
Cheers!

Hello,
I also recieved the Gainward 6800GT, purchased from Komplett UK
(probably from the same batch as your one).
However, default clocks on my card are "350/1000" ?! Also, the card
layout is not Gainward "branded" in any way. Green PCB with the standard
(reference) Nvidia graphic layout (nalu logo) on the cooler. There is
just some white paper sticker with Gainward PCB number. The card box
and packaging are Gainward branded. Also, the card won't go any further
than reference 6800GT clocks 350/1000. However, card package and
box is Gainward branded.
Quote from the Komplett web site:
"
Ultra/2400 Golden Sample is Gainward's fastest and most versatile 256 MB GF
6800 GT board, up to 10% faster than NVIDIA's GF 6800 GT reference design, including video-out, DVI and nView.
"
"
Enhanced clock settings offer up to 10% better 3D performance compared with NVIDIA's reference design.
"
According to this, card should be able to run at least 10% more on the
default clocks.
Also, for almost 5-7% more expensive card then other 6800GT brands
avaliable in the UK I hoped that at least such price point would justify
the decent OC and better performance.
Help!
What should I do ?

Hi igors
It sounds, like you say, that you've ended up with a stock card instead of Gainward's golden sample version. Try contacting Komplett directly and explaining what's happened. If you ordered a golden sample card then I suppose they should offer to send you one if you return the card you have now, or I suppose refund the difference between the golden sample and normal version (I don't work for Komplett, so I'm just guessing this is what they'll offer).
Hope it all gets sorted for you
Jonty's right. Please contact us via email for this.
I'll close this thread now as we're opening a brand new one on the same subject (only updated). :)
