    Ram upgrade

    Hello,
My spec is listed in my profile.
I currently have 2GB of ram and wish to upgrade it.

    was thinking of this

    any better deals than that?

looking for eiether 6gb or 8gb total.

I tryed using the tool at crucial website but the driver caused a bsod on vista 64bit. i remember telling crucial about it around 4 months ago and they told me they knew. shame they still havent fixed it.

    thanks in advance

    Re: Ram upgrade

u can get the same model but 800mhz here http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/4GB-(...d-CAS-5-5-5-18.

since 1066mhz has little performance gain u might want that^, then again u might already have 1066, and im not sure what compatabilities like with different speeds. Also 4gb is still plenty for alot of things but it depends on ur uses mostly.

    its still good ram

    Re: Ram upgrade

my current ram is 1066 and im not sure how it would be with mixing speeds.
just looked through side window, ive got two 1GB sticks.

I can always sell the current ram to my sister once ive brought more ram.

my main usages are online games, virtual machines, tons of tabs open in opera, music, messenger etc.
its no fun doing one thing at a time so i always multi task. but with vista and 2gb of ram it does crawl at times and i really mean crawl...
