RAM advice

Hey people,

I have 4 gig of OCZ Enhanced Latency Dual Channel Platinum XTC Edition

I want to upgrade to 8 gig but this ram doesnt seem to be available anywhere anymore so I am wondering whats the best way to go. SHould I get ocz ram or would corsair work just as well?

WOuld I be better off getting 8 gig of ram new ?

Adding Corsair to it should work with no problems, provided that the speeds and latencies are roughly the same.

You'll need to add slightly more voltage to the NB chipset most likely though to run 4 sticks just to let you know but sometimes motherboards can boot up with 4 sticks of DDR2 on auto NB voltage, however my experiences are that I can't. (P35)

Yeah but as he said, some motherboards do need the extra DIMM.v to push all 4 sticks, more so if they're performance modules so to speak.
