got the chance of 4x1GB Geil 6400 RAM, how good / bad is it. Might be overclocking with my GA-P35 and E6550 later.
I'd say above average, although bear in mind that it will harder to overclock with 4 sticks than with 2, so maybe try and find a 2x 2GB kit

Geil makes great RAM IMHO. I have used their DDR1 and DDR2 RAM for years. The 1GB 800MHZ DDR2 works fine for me although I have not overclocked it at all.

Pretty good in my experience. Usually pretty cheap yet reliable (under light OC'ing).

Yes I also have Geil RAM 1x2GB and is still going strong 3 years later!
Ebay? That's a risk in its self especially PC components.
I've always found ebay to be perfectly reasonable for PC components as long as you check the vendor's feedback first. The one exception is motherboards, which ebay vendors seem to find impossible to keep in good condition.
And to be fair, the only two items I've had that were sold as working but arrived faulty, both vendors refunded immediately. One asked for me to post the item back, the other said I could do what I wanted with it (so that wasn't suspicious at all... )
Im not fast enuff for this ebay game u know
I see a great set of XMS2 800MHz at BIN of 50 quid, I ask one question about it and voom, the BIN has gone and we are back to bidding wars
I have a wanted in HeXus and am also waiting for one HeXite to get back to me, so its a slow process. I just dont have *quite* enuff cash ready to buy new
Yeah, memory's expensive now. I checked back on the old order I put in for my sig rig earlier this week to get the exact specs of a couple of items, and the way prices have gone up in the last 2 years is ridiculous. The memory has gone up from 60 ex vat to 85 ex vat...
Although that's not quite as disturbing as the 1GB kits I used for a client order: I built them 7 PCs in Feb '07 - 1GB Kingston DDR2-533 CL4 kit £42.54 each. I built them another 5 identical PCs in Aug '07 - 1GB Kingston DDR2-533MHz CL4 kit £22.97 each
