It doesn't surprise me that it's been cancelled, compared to BSG it was poor, storyline was a bit crap.

It's it another reboot rather than a spin off?
Edit: Nope, it's another prequel.

I liked it, yes it wasnt as fast paced as BSG but it was warming up to be the prequel to the first cylon war.
I'm annpyed at the fact that it wasnt oush by SyFy, the kept breaking up the season and changing its slot, how do they expect a show to do well under those circumstances.
Thing is they'll do exactly the same to the new spin off and it'll fail as well, that'll effectively ruin the franchise as no other network will pick it up after the two main prequel ideas have created poor spin offs, not much else for them to do as far as a new story goes after that..
Thats a real shame that it's been cancelled - just as it was starting to get good too..with the latest episode you can really see how the STO links in to become the cylons, and get an idea of how the wars really started.
It's been getting better and better constantly, such a shame to pull it now. Its a stupid trend to cancel shows when they start to get good..enterprise was a victim of this also
Its not the shows fault tho, and I agree on the Enterprise thing.
How many people can afford the time to get into a show when the slot gets changed, theres huge breaks in the series and the channel its on doesnt push it..
I liked it and I don't know what it was about Alessandra Torresani but man she gave me tingles

I found it to be pretty weak - it was the characters that really made BSG, and there really weren't any strong characters for me in Caprica. The plot was fairly dull also - I'm sure it may have gone somwhere and become an interesting show, but as it stands I don't care that it was cancelled.
Moore's Virtuality (picked up by Fox and cancelled after the pilot episode) was a much more engaging idea, but Fox being Fox it didn't make it past it's first 90 mins. Those 90 mins were 1o times stronger than anything offered in Caprica.
Well,I had watched this.
I like it?
I know Its been cancelled.
Syfy channel has dropped this show.
Watch it, no, but record it? Yes.
Like it? Dunno.
Watching something for a while then getting left high and dry when it gets cancelled half-way through irritates the hell out of me, which is one reason why I tend to record things like this, and only watch it once I've got the whole season. Another reason, as anyone that knows me will be aware, is to remove the pesky adverts before I watch it.
the remaining episodes have been picked up by another channel and are showing in the US still, just have to hope that they show the rest over here too and don't just stop it like sy-fy did ;/
SyFy are still going to air the remaining episodes, next year sometime I think.
iTunes Canada has also already got at least 3 of them for sale.
Yeah the canadian Space channel iirc, theres a push to get Space to buy the rights to Caprica and give it a second season, cant see that happening though as SyFy has commissioned another pre BSG spin off called Blood & Crome, which while sounding like a good idea will kill the franchise unless someone gets it out from SyFy's grip.
They failed with Caprica big style, they aired the pilot, then waited over a year to start showing the first season, then they started pissing about with the time slot and day it was on so people just forgot it was on or where they were upto.
The idea behind Caprica is a very good one and one that should be told, however it should be picked up by a channel that gives a toss about its programming and viewers instead of a channel that shows old 80's movies (Teen Wolf 2 was on the otherday ffs) and wrestling..
There should be, imho 5 seasons of Caprica, the end of season 5 should be the start to the first Cylon war or at least a bloody big pointer towards it, but done in a way that the Caprica story line is completed but they leave a whole in there for a B&C pilot/movie which then gives you the momentum for the B&C series.
SyFy cancelling one show and then asking for a pilot to another show in the same franchise is a bad idea on so many levels, from a fans POV mainly because it'll kill the franchise, I mean, who is going to pick up anything BSG related after 2 failed spin offs, unless they can see that the spinoffs were screwed up by the retards at the SyFy channel?
That in itself sums up SyFy's thoughts towards Caprica, the amount of time they have spent moving the program around had been spent on advertising it and giving it a set slot week in week out then the show would of picked up a lot more, annoying thing is people that have seen the last few episodes have said that it really starts to pick up more..
Just waiting for them to cancel SGU now, MGM are screwed money wise and SyFy clearly dont care about Sci-Fi..
Sad days indeed
Alessandra, drool......
Caprica was just getting good and they went and canned it, i wasn't best pleased about this.
Seems this is too deep for the yanks to understand so the rest of the world suffers that and the piss poor slots it's been getting and total lack of advertising
