As long as you don't try to overclock it cheap ram is normally fine.
I picked up some cheap stuff off fleabay, right before the prices dropped :(, I was a bit sceptical about it as they claimed it was 1800mhz @ 1.35v, and strangely enough I've not managed to get it stable over 1333mhz cas9 1.5v, so it is basically the same stuff as that extra value ram but with aluminium heat spreaders.
tweeking the ram multiplier and keeping the ram under 1333mhz I've got my i5 750 to 3.4ghz.
Altold if you are looking to overclock then spend the extra £10 and get some 1600mhz http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173122
