1800Mhz @ 1.65V or 1600MHz @ 1.5V?

I was reading a review of a memory module (http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/ram/44...3-2133-memory/) and I read that higher DRAM voltage can put strain on the memory controller in my CPU.
After some testing, I've come down to 2 choices over speed, timings & voltage:

a) 1800Mhz, 10-10-10-27, 1.6500V
b) 1600Mhz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5000V

Module is a dual channel 8GB Corsair Dominator. It is rated to run at 1.65V and sold as a "1600Mhz" unit (but easily OC'd to 1800Mhz). But as I stated i'm not sure if the increased voltage will damage my CPU (a 3770k).

What would people advise?

I would stick with the 1.5volt ram this then takes stress away from the voltage controller on your motherboard and PSU.....

i would advise against OC your Ram to that extent unless you want hardware failure as OCing hardware shortens the life span of the hardware your OCing....

Check Here for the scaling tests done on all the various speeds.

I'd stick with 1600 MHz myself as the gains going higher are less prominent really.

1600 vs 1800 ? you wouldn't notice the difference! Stick with 1600 @ 1.5v
