Anyone have a list of AMD cpus and chipsets that support registered ECC RAM?
I think anything AM2/AM3/AM3+ on an ASUS motherboard.Quote:

EDIT: Sorry, just re-read the OP. I think for *registered* (/buffered) RAM you'd have to get one of the server specific platforms. AM3+ will only support unbuffered RAM. If you just want ECC though, unbuffered ECC RAM is easy enough to find.

Ah yes somehow I didn't notice the "registered" bit, making my previous post rubbish :( Sorry about that.
Any particular reason you need registered though, rather than just ECC? If it's server/workstation hardware then prebuilt from a big OEM is probably the easiest solution, if it's for home/lab type work then surely unbuffered ECC would be good enough...?Quote:
