Just a quickie is it possible to run CL10 and CL9 ram from same manufacturer

I have these CMY16GX3M2A1866C10R and is it ok to use CMY16GX3M2A1866C9R along side of the C10R

Yes. Your motherboard/CPU will determine whether you can run them at different timings simultaneously, but usually you'll just set the lot to the same common denominator (ie CL10).

From my understanding in order to run these at 1866 you use XMP for C10R settings in your bios so manually setting the C9R via SPD would possibly cause issues when set manually my M/B is M5A99X Evo

XMP is just a pre-set collection of values. You can manually set the same things, but I'd just manually set to the lower of the two's timings (10-11-10-30 and 1866Mhz)

so the C9R set can be manually set up to 10-11-10-30 C10 from 9-9-9-24 C9 is that about right manually setting it at 1866Mhz speed

one last thing - you can try to up the latency to 9 for both. It depends how well they were binned to start with. Sometimes you get lucky and all that is needed is something minor like setting the CMD rate to 2 instead of 1. Not guaranteed but try it. If stable then quids in. If not, what have you lost but a bit of time?

Tried it but falls over after 20mins or so on memtest+ at C9 so I bought the C9 version cheap of ebay so theses C10 are for sale
