Why is 3200mhz 1.2v ram so rare?

Seriously, I don't want overclocked ram. I care about the lifespan of my components and usually have long stretches of time between builds
The only ram I can find is the kingston value ram, but it's high latency. How much that matters today, I don't know.

Am I going to have to suck it up and buy ram at 1.35v ? or is there an option I haven't considered. (This is for an intel 11600k if that's useful information at all)

Most RAM actually runs at 1.2V,when its not set to XMP/DOCP. AFAIK,the maximum JEDEC rated speed is around 3200MHZ,and is at very high latencies.

The higher voltages are for XMP/DOCP settings which are usually over 3200MHZ,with much tighter timings. These usually are guaranteed by the manufacturers - what you need to be more concerned with is the maximum officially rated speed of the IMC in the CPU. This is set at 3200MHZ for Zen2,Zen3 and RKL,and at 2933MHZ for CML.

If running the IMC at stock on the appropriate motherboard,then yes. You can run higher speed RAM,but technically that is overclocking the IMC.
