    PC no Power leads disconnected

Computer failed to start last night not power Check mains up to PC OK
    Then removed side panel.
And found the following leads hanging there an the HD SATA lead lose

Cable is 2 wires yellow and black termination in a 4 way female plug with only 2 pins used and marked as Speaker This seem to go to the front power on button ?
2 wires coloured both grey marked as reset Switch This does seem to go to front reset button
Third 2 cables blue and white marked as Power Switch Not sure where this terminats?

Termination block bottom right just to the right of SATA connect one question on these SATA connect there are 2 red (one used) and two black what is the difference?

Any way back the termination block start from the left here is terminated 2 cable green and whit next orange and white. Then 2 gaps with no pins. Then one pin bottom then 2 pins then one pin top last 2 are 2 pins above this block a 3 pin termination on it own

Do you know if the non connected leads need to be terminated and on which pins and which way round I.e. Letters on connector facing to bottom , top left or right of Case?

I do have some photos if required

If you can upload a couple pictures, it would be easier for me/ anyone to help as I don't quite get you. Is it on the bottom right hand side with all the small wires and connections like HDD, Power, Reset, etc..? Upload some pictures will be better

It's usual to have a number of unused connectors. They are usually bound up with cable ties into one or two bundles to keep them out of the way.
It's very unlikely that a connector would become unfastened in normal use. If you haven't actually unplugged anything the cables you mention are probably meant to be unused.
As SW says, If you can post a link to some photographs it would make it easier to understand what you're describing.

Lose leads should be plugged into the bottom right hand size plugs. What motherboard are you using? If you can tell me, then I can help you by supplying you an image on how to plug them.

Also, are there any pins there as from I'm seeing, there are no pins to actually connect them to the motherboard.... which is not right....

In this PDF manual of your mohterboard, there is an illistration on what needs to be connected. If you follow these instructions, it should be fine:
    http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/...234_p5nsli.pdf
Look at Page chp1 pg35-36. From the image on the manual, it seems that the block that connects them 2 is missing. Theyt may have removed it and forgot to put it back in.

By reading the image to the right of page 35 (or page 49) of what to connect, and on top of the connectors (the name e.g. HDD) you should be able to get them fixed up in no time and everything will be fine.
(Or, it is page 49 of 124)

well, if the text on the connector is facing upwards, then it should be correct. Q Connector is not necessary. It can still be done without it but then again, it is an extra.

Your welcome. I myself don't use a Q Connector as I think it aint necessary unless your afraid that you may accidently plug it wrong since I have all the pins on my mobo but from what I see from the images, the unnecessary pins have already been removed so it should be fine. Well, ask Davey for a Q Connector and see if you can get hold of one. Otherwise, just plug them in.

Well, in that case, leave it like that for now and request for a Q connector and hopefully, you'll get one from Mesh and it will be or at least seem more secure.

    Hi bill11,

The Q Connector is more for ease of plugging in than stability but it may help so I've put one in the post to you.
